@IanOTimelord@ELittlechild@DoctorWhoPN RTD in Doctor Who Magazine #624 said the 2026 Christmas Special would contain these three words. "Bafflers," "Winternox" and "village."
Sounds about right to me...

@gothoperas@bbcdoctorwho It was the most successful modern DW series, just behind Series 4, if you account viewing figures, critical reaction, and awards. The general public largely do, despite DW fans not always enjoying Series 2, when it's one of the strongest DW seasons ever with many great stories.
20 years ago today, the Tenth Doctor and Rose set course for NEW EARTH - and began a whole new series of adventures in #DoctorWho Series 2! โค๏ธโค๏ธ
@CrispeeePro RTD2, imho, is generally not good. It tries to take the best of RTD1 but fails on many measures. RTD returning was probably a mistake, as it means his first era which was considered a golden age for the show will now be ripped apart, simply because RTD2 has flopped badly.
@CrispeeePro RTD1 is far stronger than RTD2, for a number of reasons. RTD1 seemed more thought out, and the way its story arcs developed made the wait totally worthwhile. Its finals perfectly ended each season on a high and with everything mostly wrapped up. The writing was stronger.
@WilliamWhoDW It's pretty shocking how poorly RTD2 feels, considering RTD did say he has written out his vision of the show until at least the 2030s. It doesn't feel this way on screen, as everything is cut back, and perhaps he has to change plans due to influence from Disney.
@WilliamWhoDW The God concept wasn't bad at all, it was needed to give the show new villains, but I think the way he managed it wasn't the best. Throwing too much into the finals and for a shorter series to deal with overall was a bad decision. The returning classic villains were failed.
Supposed leak regarding Doctor Who's future from 4chan, they apparently may turn it into a anthology for a while focusing on different Doctor's with ideas pitched by Steven Moffat, probably fake but I thought it would be interesting to discuss here, I don't really believe this
@WilliamWhoDW Over time, I've come to respect Series 11. If it had been supported by better writing, I think it would be one of my favourite seasons. I really appreciate how unique it felt, which was perfect for new viewers to hop on. We really needed something like this for Season 1, I fear.
@drmarthajonezzz Good ideas, probably the most unique series. Unfortunately, it suffers from bland writing. I have come to respect the more laid back and grounded approach, but Series 12 did it far better. Lot of boring dialogue. Started really well, ended quite poorly. Very mixed bag.
