We have a lot of late cucumbers and a glut of beetroot. Baked a cucumber and lemon cake with an elderflower buttercream icing. Baked a chocolate and beetroot cake, with a cream, a cherry centre topped with a chocolate ganache.
My favourite is the cucumber. Very refreshing.

Coffee morning. Ganache split. I knew the cream was too hot but still added the chocolat🙄 Simple chemistry. Managed to recover it, lost a bit of its sheen🤷‍♀️. Reine de Saba cake. Vegan and Gluten Free lemon cake. And carrot cake.

A lovely friend joined us for lunch today. We had a perfect afternoon in her company. For dessert I made "Hymne au printemps" Basically, Strawberry mousse cheesecake. 😁

New season of #maplesyrup direct from la Ferme René Lussier in #StDamase #Quebec travelled with me all the way across the miles to my kitchen in middle earth. To mark this year's première coulée, I baked a 🍁 syrup cheese cake with 🍁 syrup caramel sauce.
