@GalaxySwirlMLP Hello! Yes, this is still a thing, or at least the concept is still a thing haha I've had a lot of set backs that stopped me from working on the game but I'm back to it. Nice to see ya :)
10 years ago on this day, Dizzywood shut down. The end of a big part of my and countless other's childhoods. Below you can see the blog post announcement, with a teaser for something new to come. That never happened officially, but a fanmade revival is in the works now :)
Some pictures I found from the annual Dizzywood Winter Festival! Anyone else remember skating on the pond, building snowbears, and collecting present charms?
I assume that the rest of this year is going to just be focused on creating an avatar + its animations + implementing the base for its customization. I hope to have a rough draft of the map outlined in engine to walk around in too!
As for updates, I don't have much to share. I realized that if I were to keep making Force Field right now, I'd have to recode a good chunk of it for implementation. I put that off to the side and decided to focus on making the avatar.
Stumbled upon some 3D Dizzywood concepts dated 2012! Maybe this is what they teased as "Something Old Something New?" on the site all those years ago? Thought it'd be cool to share! You can see Jake Parker's concept art from the DW site on the left and the 2012 art on the right.
@lullabiteprince Wow, 35 people liked this? Where are yall!! I've been trying to rebuild the dizzywood userbase for months (and only found two ppl lmao) since I want to bring it back
