@HedgieMarkets Over the last 2 years my course turned from ~3% cheating to ~50% cheating. Patterns started to emerge in assignments. In the last year I put traps into the final assignment material in invisible text which resulted in automatic fails.
@gingasvr It's been well understood for a long time that a majority of people simply don't have the free space / a dedicated entire clear room for room scale vr, meaning the market is tiny. Why invest money making a product for a niche of a niche?
@d_linkski I've been thinking a lot about this recently, it's exciting! Hopefully we'll see an up tick in posts about new novel techniques or just generally more sharing of generally good techniques regarding optimization.
It may be worth while studying this mechanism when it fails to produce good joint animation. Much like taking a selfie to put on the internet, what you're seeing here is the cherry picked best case scenario.
However, the Euphoria physics engine used in GTA IV is almost 20 years old now and did very similar stuff.

@SterlingCooley This is easily disprovable by sedimentary analysis
You can analyse the interior and exterior for salt/sediment deposits. I highly doubt this was the cause simply because geologists are everywhere and desperate for PhD subjects, it would have been mentioned by now.
The nvidia n1x by itself is actually a pretty exciting product, I would love an n1x laptop
All the AI stuff? Who cares, it looks like it's great as a productivity device
The thing that will kill it for me will be the price, I doubt I'll be able to afford one, cause memory

@SebAaltonen How hot does it get where you are? It peaks in the high 30s maybe one day of the year and mostly sits in the mid to high 20s through summer where I live. I've never noticed my glass roof ever being a problem.
Exert self control, Just because you can save scum doesn't mean you have to
Get used to owning your mistakes instead of trying to fix them
Avoid the perfect play through
It makes play throughs so much more fun and interesting when you're forced to deal with an unoptimal play
It's kind of crazy how dramatically your experience with a game can change depending on if you're a savescummer or not. I encourage everyone to go through that one game they know like the back of their head with very minimal saving at least once.
My inner "uhm achstually" guy
* PS1 could not deliver a poly count close to this, it's dreamcast level min
* PS1 could not bilinear filter textures like this
* PS1 could not gorouard shade this smoothly
* PS1 can't achieve this colour depth
The term PS1 graphics lives differently in everyone's mind. Its almost lost all meaning at this point.
A full-length movie that was animated to look like a PS1 game has premiered at Cannes
‘Le Vertige’ was animated by five recent graduates using Blender, an iPhone, and a cheap app to capture the style
@boltondynamics The hidden factor here is team size isn't just a multiple, complexity is a silent killer.
A management/work structure that works for a 10 person team doesn't necessarily scale for a 100 person team. There's a crossing point of wearing multiple hats to being highly specialized.
