@hangarhockey Agreed. Especially if the Jets leadership core made him feel comfortable enough to be this happy. He was already a superstar here. Imagine having that type of player and we let him go.. I hope Patty continues to get better on/off the ice and the jets learned a valuable lesson.
@ProducerDrew_@CBrooksie84 That’s all that’s being said, Josh would fall under that category more so because of both offensive and defensive metrics. Not one person is saying Cale isn’t more gifted than Josh. I think that’s what he was trying to say… 🤷🏼♂️
@ProducerDrew_@CBrooksie84 He isn’t saying Cale isn’t one of the best d man. But the words “total package” mean great both on offence/defence. Cale’s defensive metrics aren’t good at all. Yes he’s an unreal talent but that term wouldn’t apply to him fully to him.
@EricYanners Exactly, plus the jets put themselves in this position. We should’ve never had to trade Laine. Awful locker room and playing behind wheeler when he shouldn’t of. He wanted to play here and be a jet... we all know how hard it is to get talent here… terrible management of assets.
@EricYanners Also, let’s be fair. I’m sure they went to the Jets privately. As most agents and players do. Clearly there was enough of a conversation for him to think he was going to be traded at the draft (that’s why he was there) and didn’t get traded so… as a result, agent goes public..
@EricYanners Honestly, I couldn’t agree more with not getting mad at PLD for wanting out. Does it suck that his agent had made it public especially to the specific team? Ya, of course. Mainly because now trade value sucks.. BUT the Jets are the only ones to blame in all of this.
