Noelia Castillo Ramos was left paralyzed after a failed suicide attempt following a brutal sexual assault.

Yesterday, she was euthanized.

At age 25.

Her parents tried to save her.

The court said no.

Her friend was denied access to her before her death.

The hospital pushed for the euthanasia to continue.

Her organs had already been committed for harvesting.

The assault that lead to her suicide attempt was committed at a state-run facility.

Instead of offering Noelia real support—
They killed her.

The state failed Noelia at every step of the way.

The sick and mentally ill deserve safety, treatment, and care.

Not death.

Euthanasia must end.

Her name is Noelia Castillo and tomorrow she will be the first person to receive euthanasia for depression in Spain.

She was living in a supervised center with unaccompanied minors when she was gang raped by them.

Afterwards, she tried to unalive herself by jumping from a fifth floor.

But she became paraplegic instead.

She’s 25 years old and today is her last day alive.
