"I accidentally sent a text to the wrong number. Three years later, that mistake appeared in my wedding vows."
It was supposed to be a message for my best friend.
Instead, I sent it to a complete stranger.
The text read:
*"If one more thing goes wrong today, I'm moving to a deserted island."*
A minute later, I got a reply.

politics should never be allowed to become a basis for inventing or promoting damaging falsehoods"
But your friend because of same politics said Peter Obi dosnt have character that should be protected by the courts.

@TheAjakeManger
I usually stay away from social media back and forths, especially when they are politically motivated. However, there comes a point where silence can be mistaken for consent, and this is one of those moments. I have just come across a post by @TheAjakeManger insinuating that @OgarEmmaOwogeka was almost expelled from the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, over allegations of rape and sexual molestation.
I want to state clearly and unequivocally that this claim is false, misleading, and completely inconsistent with everything I know about the person being accused.
Before anyone dismisses this as political loyalty speaking, let me provide some context. Emmanuel Owogeka and I do not belong to the same political camp. He is a card-carrying member of the APC, while I am a committed supporter of Peter Obi (My Party). We have had our fair share of political disagreements over the years. However, politics should never be allowed to become a basis for inventing or promoting damaging falsehoods against another person. The reason I am speaking up is simple: I know Emmanuel personally.
Our relationship did not begin on social media. We were both students of the Faculty of Law, University of Calabar. He was a class ahead of me and served the Law Students' Association in various leadership capacities, including Secretary-General and later Vice President . In fact, I Scucceded his Government as the Next Association President. In the years we spent in the University of Calabar, I never heard of, witnessed, or became aware of any allegation of rape, sexual molestation, or any conduct remotely suggesting such behaviour.
Our paths crossed again at the Nigerian Law School, Agbani Campus, Enugu. In January 2024, we were admitted into the same campus. We lived in the same hostel (Adam & Eve Hostel). We stayed on the same floor. In fact, he was my next-door neighbour throughout our stay at Law School. We attended the same lectures, endured the same rigorous academic schedule, prepared for the same examinations, and sat for the same Bar Finals. We successfully completed the programme, left the Nigerian Law School on the same day, and were subsequently called to the Nigerian Bar together in July 2025.
I am deliberately providing these details so that no one is left in doubt as to the basis of my statement. I am not relying on hearsay. I am not repeating rumours. I am speaking from years of personal acquaintance and direct interaction. That is why I find this allegation particularly troubling.
Rape and sexual molestation are among the gravest accusations that can be made against any individual. Such allegations should never be thrown around casually, weaponised for political battles, or disguised as rhetorical questions on social media. Framing an accusation as a question does not make it less harmful when the obvious intention is to create suspicion in the minds of readers. As lawyers, we understand that reputation is a valuable asset. We also understand that false and reckless allegations can cause serious damage to a person's professional standing and public image.
For that reason, I respectfully urge the author as a fellow party Man to withdraw the insinuation and refrain from making allegations that cannot be substantiated with credible evidence. Political differences are normal in a democracy. False accusations are not. We can disagree on politics without destroying people's reputations in the process.
