my husband got hit with a foul ball trying to shield me, then the section usher picked up the ball and handed it, not to us, but a random small kid nearby. All my hubby got was a giant welt on his side and it pissed me off. I'm really glad you kept your ball, and congrats on the catch!
@Cherie_O@BeatlesEarth this pic is 2004 when George was posthumously inducted as a solo act. On stage was Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne, Dhani Harrison, Marc Mann, and Steve Ferrone - Prince was also inducted that night. So no Prince never played with Wilburys.
@damone_mike I think it's Saturday, December 30, 1978, at Winterland in San Francisco, one of the venue’s final concerts before it closed the next night. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers headlined, with the Greg Kihn Band also on the bill.

Thank you, @AMERICANAFEST for honoring Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers with the Lifetime Achievement Award and recognizing the spirit and enduring legacy of the music.
Thank you forever to the Heartbreakers - @MikeCampbellHQ, Benmont Tench, Stan Lynch, Ron Blair, Steve Ferrone, Scott Thurston and Howie Epstein - for rockin’ around and creating a brotherhood that brought us such defiant, hopeful music that has endured half a century already.
And thank you to the amazing @ChrisStapleton for uniting the band for this special performance and bringing your soul and incredible voice to these songs.
At the 1989 MTV Awards, Tom Petty started "Free Fallin'" alone, then Axl Rose emerged from the shadows to join him.
Two completely different voices, Petty's laid-back drawl and Axl's howl, sharing one mic. Nobody saw it coming.
