@nfrliza @rana_usman4507 @ellorysmith It’s not a slur, but saying it to a Christian to get a rise out of them is an asshole move. I don’t want to imply that slurs aren’t bad or that saying god damnit is worse, I’m just saying that the reasoning of this person is extremely flawed and hypocritical.
@juleshic @rana_usman4507 @ellorysmith I’m not even Christian! I just hate that people have to always assume the worst in others who are the opposite of them. My parents only see rapist transgenders and I only see the children that want to be accepted, no group of people is all good and no group of people is all bad.
@averysbackbitch My guy, I’m just trying to point out that two wrong don’t make a right. Killing a person is worse than hitting a child, but that doesn’t make it right. In many cases it is not equal, but both can be said with ill intend and both can be said as the lyric to a song.
@BJDpoy No I’m comparing repeatedly saying god damnit to a person you know is very religious and saying the n word because it’s the lyric to a song. People only see the extreme sides of an issue, bad or good, but they fail to take notice of the very large grayscale in between.
@misfit__ty @rana_usman4507 @ellorysmith Nah you said it’s alright to curse with Jesus because you don’t mean anything by it, but at the same time you get upset about people who say the n word, even if they mean nothing by it, and that bothers me
@misfit__ty @rana_usman4507 @ellorysmith No literally, it’s not difficult to be the bigger person. Being petty because others are doesn’t make you any less petty. People like to point fingers at racists for generalizing (which is bad) and then generalize all Christian’s the same. Individuals are different, you know
@misfit__ty @rana_usman4507 @ellorysmith Yeah and saying the n word is also a habit most elder people have taken on. Doesn’t mean it’s right, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to be kind. People like you are who keep this world from evolving, the only problems that matter are your own.
Maybe try to think of someone else
@misfit__ty @rana_usman4507 @ellorysmith I mean, if you know it offends people then I don’t understand why you would keep doing it. I personally feel nothing when someone calls me the F word but I know it can be hurtful to other people, so I don’t say it. Why are you trying to invalidate someone else’s feelings?
@mask_bastard Same thing with people of the LGBTQ+ community insulting random Christians because they met a Christian once who insulted them. People only see the bad sides of groups they don’t like, we have to stop generalizing and start looking at individuals and how they behave.
@mask_bastard Honestly one simple rule I like to follow is that I like everyone up until the point they hurt others. You don’t understand trans people? Fine by me, I don’t understand people who enjoy alcohol. You want to misgender a person on purpose? We throw hands.
@T_Ravz@arghavan_salles It’s all about choice babe. If she chooses to be slutty then we support that, if she was manipulated into uncovering her body because others only see her as an object, then we rebel. If she wants to be covered, we also support, if she’s forced to, we don’t. Does that make sense?
@DreamLeaf5 I think it just sucks absolute balls that people are on different spectrums of the media and only see one kind of a subject that then pushes them to the extremist sides of it. I’m often told I live too much in the gray area, but I don’t think it’s right to assume black or white
