Personally I wouldn’t be taking the risk as a cyclist, better to yield right of way and come away uninjured

In the UK you are not supposed to attempt to overtake a vehicle that’s approaching a junction with their signal on to complete a turn. Patience by the cyclist in this case would’ve been the safer option
