NFL fans are reviving the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge after former star Chris Johnson revealed his own ALS diagnosis. ALS robs people of the ability to move, speak, and breathe. There's still no cure.
The original challenge -- founded by Pat Quinn, Pete Frates, and Anthony Senerchia -- helped raise over $115 million for the ALS Association in 2014 and dramatically accelerated the fight against ALS. There are now dozens of new treatments in the pipeline and our network of ALS clinics has more than doubled. Still, ALS is fatal and can strike anyone at anytime.
Now -- in the same spirit as the original founders -- Chris Johnson is calling on the world to grab a bucket, dump the ice water, and challenge others to do the same.
Our CEO, Calaneet Balas, was recently interviewed to help spread awareness about ALS and the urgent need for continued research.

The biggest hockey show in northeast Scottsdale with 91 followers doing the siren at a Vegas Golden Knights game on Opening Day? That’s baseball, baby. ⚾️
This team was ultimately poorly constructed with pieces that didn’t really fit Pope’s system.
And honestly I don’t think Pope did a great job with the group he had. Pope never found a consistent style of play and went through too many stretches where he was out coached
Two salutes though for the season. Otega Oweh was great the vast majority of the year and had one of the best two season performances in UK history
Denzel Aberdeen had a rough start but beginning with SEC play I thought he was excellent and honestly held the team together often
After watching @SpiritBen handle the studio duties on this Trinidad Chambliss hearing, I think NBC needs to send a jet to Oxford and whisk Ben to Milan to handle studio duties for the rest of the winter Olympics.
A true pro's pro.
