Oh Please! The army is not different. Nigerian Army Officers are now taking #100 from motorists at army checkpoints.
It’s very disappointing to see because it’s not the army we grew up watching, but it’s where we find ourselves.
There's a reason you're a failed musician you can't even distinguish the Army from the Air Force. The personnel you're crying about at Lagos airport are not soldiers. They are Nigerian Air Force personnel.
Before you open your mouth to insult the uniform, learn the difference.
And here's the news: security operatives at airports anywhere in the world stop and search vehicles. It is called force protection. Not bullying. Not harassment. If you are not breaking any law, you have nothing to fear.
But your entitlement is showing you think being young or driving a luxury car exempts you from security checks. That's not how it works.
The Nigerian military has not lost its honour. You lost your career because you have no talent. Don't project your bitterness on men and women who actually serve this nation. Stay in your lane.
@HQNigerianAirForce, please educate this civilian on airport security protocols. He clearly needs it.
It’s oshimen Nigerians are dissing like this? same oshimen that has been giving us joy for years???
Should a striker of his caliber lower his wage demands just to play for a “top English side”?
The clock of a career at the top of the game is short.

Dear @fccpcnigeria,
Tonight, just like the 3rd time in the last few months, @SportyBet violated a number of the consumer protection rules.
Tonight, during a high-engagement night of European football fixtures (e.g., Bayern vs. Liverpool), SportyBet's app and website deliberately failed to load the "open-bets" section for numerous users, including the Complainants.
This failure prevented users from viewing their ongoing bets, monitoring outcomes or exercising cash-out options, leading to unavoidable losses as bets could not be managed in real-time.
Evidence of this issue includes:
An X post by @officialmoore7 accusing SportyBet of intentional sabotage, which garnered over 500 replies from frustrated users demanding account deactivations, boycotts, and switches to alternatives.
Widespread user reports on social media platforms, including X, describing similar experiences during peak events, suggesting a pattern of unreliability.
Recurring complaints about SportyBet's platform stability, particularly during live matches, which erode trust in a service that handles millions in user funds.
These failures are not isolated technical glitches but appear to be intentional or grossly negligent practices designed to maximize SportyBet's profits by preventing users from cashing out winning bets or mitigating losses.
Such practices violate consumer rights by:
Engaging in deceptive advertising (promising reliable services while delivering substandard performance).
Causing undue financial harm through unfair terms and unreliable service delivery.
Exploiting consumers in a vulnerable position during time-sensitive events.
The Class has suffered quantifiable damages, including lost winnings, unrecoverable stakes, and opportunity costs, estimated at over 30 billion Naira collectively.
Individual losses range from hundreds to thousands of Naira per incident.
CAUSES OF ACTION
Violation of FCCPA Section 123 (Unfair Trade Practices): SportyBet's deliberate app failures constitute unfair methods of competition and deceptive acts that harm consumers.
Violation of FCCPA Section 124 (False, Misleading, or Deceptive Representations): By advertising a reliable platform while failing to deliver during critical times, SportyBet has misled consumers.
Violation of FCCPA Section 125 (Unconscionable Conduct): The practices exploit consumers' reliance on the platform, leading to unjust enrichment for SportyBet.
Breach of Consumer Rights (FCCPA Sections 104-114): Including the right to safe, quality services and fair redress.
Anti-Competitive Behavior (FCCPA Sections 59-70): By eroding trust, SportyBet may be abusing its market position in the Nigerian betting industry.
CLASS ACTION ALLEGATIONS
This complaint satisfies the requirements for collective redress under FCCPA and Nigerian procedural rules:
Numerosity: The Class is too large for individual joinder (thousands affected based on social media traction).
Commonality: Common questions of law and fact predominate (e.g., Did SportyBet's platform fail deliberately? Did it violate FCCPA?).
Typicality: The lead Complainant's claims are typical of the Class.
Adequacy: The lead Complainant will fairly represent the Class; counsel may be engaged if needed.
Superiority: A class action is superior for efficient resolution.
RELIEF SOUGHT
The Complainants respectfully request that the FCCPC:
a. Investigate SportyBet's practices and platform reliability.
b. Order SportyBet to cease and desist from such unfair practices.
c. Mandate refunds and compensation to the Class for losses incurred to the tune of 30billion naira.
d. Impose administrative penalties on SportyBet under FCCPA.
e. Require SportyBet to improve its infrastructure and provide transparent reporting on downtime.
f. Award any other relief, including costs and fees, as deemed just.
Just so you know, anything @PayPal can do, @greyfinance and @RaenestApp can do better. @contra can invoice and you’d receive any amt of payment you want from your clients.
There’s no company that it’s only means of paying for services is PayPal, even these companies don’t trust PayPal.
@PayPal is finally loosing in the international payment ecosystem to @stripe and @airwallex and all of a sudden Nigeria sounds interesting.
I just spoke to the DPO, it wasn’t the police that arrested him for a video. It was a judge that said he should be detained till Monday to appear in court while he was making a video of the Judge during environmental. The school authorities are aware, The VC and the dean of
Mary Beth Leonard, you were the consular general at the time my kids were kidnapped. How is it possible to have the passport of my kids with me; a court order on an ongoing case of divorce, a parent who is not an American citizen issued new passports without a consent from the father, without the father present? This is 3 years now. Is it possible that cos you are close to the perpetrators? I just need answers @USinNigeria@NigeriaEmbassy@POTUS
I realized this early this year and since then, I don't get disappointed or scared when things don't go my way. I know now that when I'm tried my best and it's not working out, when I'm down and out.......... That's when someone greater takes over and surprises me pleasantly.
I'm the kind of guy that attacks every day fully believing it is within my power to make things happen for me. I don't really hope on grace for good things to happen to me, I believe in making things happen for me.
Lately though, I've been taking stock and the best things have happened to me when I'm down and out. When I've tried everything I can and can see no light at the end of the tunnel and about to quit, that's when a better way opens up for me and surprises me.
