First order of business is to trade Jaylon Johnson. He has been the juice that leaks from the garbage truck since he got paid. Need a top tier DE to get to the QB and will free up Sweat because he is trash in his own but can be decent with a great DE on the other side.
Everyone on defense and he who purchased this defense needs to be fired. Sorry, getting lucky turnovers is not sustainable. D coordinator is making a lot of money for a crap defense he has installed.
I can only imagine what the calls are going to sound like at halftime
This defense has been trash all year. Luck turnovers helped them win and can’t take that away from them but they are maybe if they are luck a year or two away from really competing for a Super Bowl.
I’m not trying to be a Debbie Downer but when will Caleb Williams make those throws and not sail them over his WR’s head?
A lot of remnants from the old coaching staff. It will take Ben Johnson a couple of off seasons to coach the mistakes out of them. Until they clean it up the Bears will not be a true threat.
That was looking like a statement touchdown drive ... until the Bears stalled near the goal line. 9 penalties for 87 yards already today.

It’s sad to say but chances are looking more like a bust then anything else.
Bears QB Caleb Williams is 7-of-16 passing since starting out 11-for-14. Way too many throws put out of reach for his receivers.
This is the worst comment every year during the draft “31 other teams passed” how many of those teams have their QB’s? Realistically I would generously say at most 10 teams passed. The other teams either have their QB or drafted one the last couple of years.
31 other teams didn’t give Shedeur the chance.

This screams the Bears genuinely want Freeman despite the extension.

Exactly what I thought. If the coaches want the ball t be handed off don’t give options and just hand the ball off.
WR fumbles the ball. But it’s Caleb’s fault.
Bad Organizations. This team has more talent than their record shows but bad organizations find ways to hire bad coaches and find ways to lose.

I don’t agree with this take at all. Go back and watch the tape from Nagy’s KC days before coaching the Bears not that elite when he took over play calling duties from a goat in Reid. Ben Johnson is a way better play caller and has more of a feel for the game IMO.

I think how he handled the press conference is why they fired him during the season. Eberflus still wouldn’t say that the decision to not take a timeout was the wrong decision. He says it starts with him but he never says his decisions were the wrong ones.
It's never normal at Halas Hall.
Having Matt Eberflus do his regular press conference before firing him is somewhere between cruel and strange.
The head coach let them down.
