I've followed @NiKoCS_ since the @iNationEsports days, when a talented kid from the Balkans took his first big step and joined @mousesports
Back then, nobody could have imagined just how much he would mean to an entire region.
For more than a decade, NiKo carried the hopes of millions of people. Through unforgettable victories, painful defeats, countless finals, and years of coming so close to the one trophy that always seemed just out of reach, we kept believing.
What always made NiKo special wasn't just his skill. It was how he united people. On the Balkans, where history, borders, politics and religion often divide us, NiKo was someone everyone could rally behind. It didn't matter if you were from Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania or anywhere else. It didn't matter if you were Muslim, Orthodox, Catholic or anything else.
We were all cheering for the same player.
Today, in the Cathedral of Counter-Strike in Cologne, I had the privilege of witnessing something I never thought I'd see when I first watched him play for iNation:
NiKo finally did it.
After all the heartbreak. After all the criticism. After all the years of waiting.
He became a Major Champion.
This wasn't just a victory for one player. It felt like a victory for an entire generation of Balkan Counter-Strike fans who grew up watching him, supporting him and believing that one day his moment would come.
And today, it finally did.
NiKo, thank you for representing our region with pride for so many years. The whole Balkans is proud of you.
You chased greatness for over a decade and never gave up.
Today, you completed the story. ❤️🏆
