@blexandthecity It is 100% the driving force and their mantra, they have stated it multiple times. When it hits, (Braxton Jones), you look like a genius, but it’s very risky to put all your eggs in the potential basket

@blexandthecity I’m of the scouting opinion that what you see is what you get and if they could have, they would have, especially at the big programs. These guys are coached well, and very rarely does an NFL position coach have a magic pill to make a guy elite at a production level. All IMO tho

@blexandthecity I agree, it’s nice to see patience and sticking to his guns. But there is a difference between sticking to your guns and being arrogant. Sometimes the obvious choices are obvious for a reason, don’t let proven talent slip by because you’re obsessed w one aspect of a player

@blexandthecity Not a single one of the selections, outside of Darnell Wright and Tyrique Stevenson, have put together a single elite statistical season. It is a projection based on athleticism and very bold assumptions that they can coach up traits. It’s very cocky, presumptuous, and risky.

@mkehoe703 Cody still had power but he can’t get out of his own way on the edges and struggles on an island in pass pro. He is at most serviceable and center will yet again be an issue for this team, as it has been for two years now

@blexandthecity I will never, for the life of me, understand how Bears fans can drink a new GM’s Kool-Aid every year until finally he’s fired. On paper this draft has been very odd to say the least. Trying to be the smartest guy in the room hasn’t worked the best for the Bears in the past
