How @MeleeCreepsDL forced their opponent to surrender and proved that the new Urn mechanic is terrible at @DLNightShift #40
All six players bought Golden Eggs and held them until the 15th minute - the moment the Urn's comeback mechanic activates. Then they sold the eggs all at once, got all the bonuses, and simply didn't give the Urn to team @FloormenDL
The result - a permanent 35% damage resistance for the whole team. Floormen couldn't do anything and surrendered—first in the match, then in the series.
MLC's comment after the match on Twitter:
Don't put all of your eggs in one basket? Or maybe you should... Golden Heist has been completed. We take DLNS this week with a FF from Floormen See you all at the 12k Walmart x DLNS x Intel tournament this weekend
A patch is probably already on the way, they showed the developers that the urn sucks
Eido (@Eidorian510) spoke to Deadlock Intel last night about his thoughts on @MeleeCreepsDL's victory against Floormen using the comeback Urn strategy, calling it a 'message to Yoshi':
"The game is broken, fundamentally... this is not an opinion, this is just a fact, this game is broken competitively, it does not work, and it has not worked for the past week."
It's literally just "patron" "walker" "guardian" he's acting like it's some silly goofy names when he got big off a game where you hopped on the "Battle Bus" and landed in "Tomato Town"
This Deadlock patch is one of my least favorites since the patch before the melee system got nerfed
Personally, my main problem with it is how easy some of the AOE stuff is to pull off while also just being insanely strong. Paradox bombs, McGinnis ult, Celeste ult, etc.
