I just watched the saddest video on Instagram. A guy had just started driving for inDrive. On his first day, he put 85k worth of fuel in his car, but by the time the tank was empty, he hadn’t even made 50k not to talk of covering the fuel money or making any profit. He decided to call it a day and head home.
On his way, around V.I, his car broke down. As soon as he stepped out to check the engine, about 10 agbero guys surrounded him, some armed with locally made pistols and daggers. They demanded 200k. He explained that he had barely made any money and only had 50k, but they threatened to search his car and take whatever valuables they found.
His two phones were in the car, so he eventually transferred 150k to them. One even put a dagger to his stomach and threatened to stab him, while people watched and walked past like it was normal. How is this still happening in Lagos? Why are these agbero boys allowed to openly intimidate and extort motorists like this?
I remember when I was working at Cosa Nostra (Obafemi Martins’ club) as a waiter.
That fateful morning, around 3–4 AM, CDQ came in with Skales and some of his guys. They bought drinks and mixers and started chilling and vibing.
At some point, the guys started spraying money 1k and 500 notes everywhere. I was just standing there watching because at Cosa, you dare not pick money. 😂 Cameras are everywhere and there are so many people monitoring you. If you’ve worked there before, you’ll understand me.
So I was just standing there while money was everywhere, until CDQ called me.
CDQ: “Iwo o sha owo ni? Abi your papa get bullion van for house?”
Me: “No Baba, them go sack me if I pick.”
CDQ: “Hiaaa, why?”
Then he called two girls he came in with and told them:
“Ba werey yen shaa wo yen.” 😂
Bro, those babes picked more than 150k for me that night.
As a waiter, I’ll never forget that day. And any day I get the opportunity to meet or speak to CDQ, I’ll tell him about this story.
That single act meant a lot to me. ❤️
CDQ ❤️🔥
It was a seemingly innocuous email, sent on a Wednesday morning in January 2017, that started everything.
Arriving in the inbox of a senior official at Manchester City, it appeared to have been sent by an employee from European football’s governing body, UEFA, and contained a link to a financial compliance report.
The City official clicked the download button. That was all it took.
It was not a genuine email from UEFA but a successful phishing attempt by Portuguese hacker and activist Rui Pinto. City’s servers were breached, allowing Pinto to retrieve thousands of emails and documents from the club’s systems.
This week, almost 10 years on from Pinto’s first email, the Premier League announced that an independent panel had found City guilty of all but one of the charges against them, as The Athletic first revealed last Friday.

nobody is serving for 77k. it's a requirement for jobs and postgraduate admission, and that's why people do it. the question is why it's required, not why people comply
“GRV had 4 years to learn Yoruba and he didn’t”
Your current government had 11 years to prepare for governance especially on how to handle subsidy since they protested against Jonathan in 2012, but look at the nonsense they’re doing.
Someone was kidnapped and 20M was demanded as ransom. The person who was kidnapped was not a wealthy person—just a regular market trader.
The family pleaded for them to take 5M because that’s all they could raise in that short period. The kidnappers collected the money and still kpaied the man.
I don’t feel a thing for this guys over their sentences. They feel remorseful because they were caught. They deserve the sentence.
Ppl love to say Jesus hung out with prostitutes and tax collectors and forget the part where the hookers stopped hooking and the tax collectors stopped stealing.
The devil is, quite literally, in the (omitted) details.
🚨 Fred on Solskjær and Ten Hag: “There are some coaches who are 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 tactically but 𝗕𝗔𝗗 with the group, and there are some who are very good with the group but are tactically 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗣.
“For example Solskjær was very good with the group but tactically he had Carrick and McKenna as his assistants - so much so that they went to the Championship and got promoted with their teams so they helped a lot… he was more about uniting the group.
“Ten hag was tactically a very good and intelligent guy, but with the group he was crap. He couldn’t manage it man. He would fight with everyone.”
