I've been seeing a recent trend in comparing (and touting) #blender with SideFX #Houdini just because of geo nodes...... if you think that's all Houdini is, you are mistaken. (1/5)

I'm not saying this to admonish, just that A LOT of the Blender community needs a hardcore reality check. Yes it's great, it's free, powerful, disruptive, but please *BE REAL* and understand the production ecosystem before praising.

It's been an incredibly hard few weeks, life hit a bit too hard, culminating with my dog's passing and the fact that I can barely move thanks to lumbar sciatica, my motivation is below sea level. Plus it is 30C in my office! Hope to be back this Friday, if I can walk by then :)

This continues to be one of my absolute favorite techniques from the past few years. It’s just wild the amount of control/options it gives you over your footage, and allows for really easy complex interplay between the practical and cg.
