Oh actually didn't see that. So it turns out he's holding Cocai off the entire fight. There's a scene earlier in which he looks down and sees Keiko driving at his feet as Cocai jumps at him, then he quickly stops her and pushes her away. Nice to see him protecting the humans

Sean Konrad (VFX supervisor) when asked about if Titan X had a different concept design before the final result:

“Titan X was in this zone from the start but we initially conceived her as being more upright/bipedal with the tentacles sort of forming into different patterns for different stances. It was conceptually cool but felt a little too ‘magical’ for a monsterverse character. Other elements like the face and eyes ended up taking a few diversions to figure out - Nick Keller from Weta did a bulk of the design and Dan Baker from Framestore did a few concept images as well. Titan X’s design was figured out well ahead of our shoot, and our first ‘final’ shot of her was done before we’d finished principle photography on episode one (thank you to Bryan Hirota and the Eyeline team for that), so it was probably the most stable creature design we’ve done in the history of the show.”

Okay but honestly, her tentacles mus be really strong, not only holding off Godzilla but also allowing her to just lift herself up like that, seemingly making her look taller, potentially more intimidating to her opponent

@__TheTrillest_ @BeyondBeliefCos Ye, in my eyes Cocai is quite high when it comes to power in the Monsterverse, she was a seemingly equal match for Godzilla and visibly injured him. I don't think any other titan left marks as visible as this? Maybe Kong's axe came close

@Mr_goji54 Probably my favourite episode yet simply for the Cocai-Cate scenes and the ending sequence with Godzilla. Glad we finally have a deeper look at Cocai and man, I'm sorry for the poor thing..
