Neither. I'm coming up on age 70, and I see this among my female peers more often than I expected. I made that statement based on observation, not innate bias.

Now, if you want to argue that it will be different for more current age groups, go ahead. But I still think you'll find that the human need for companionship, something hardwired into our DNA for the past million years or so, will be the most powerful emotion in the long run.
