God forbid a Filipino K-pop fan be politically aware while also being upset about getting skipped by international artists on their world tours. Those two things can coexist because this issue is political. If all you took away from OP's post was Filipino fans crying about not getting tours here anymore, then you completely missed the point.
Also, thereโs no need to compare another SEA country that apparently doesnโt get skipped because "the demand is there". Last I checked, there are still groups and soloists that skip that country too. But that's not the main issue at hand, and there's no need to turn this into a competition when both countries are dealing with difficult political situations.
The Philippines has had issues with taxes and policies affecting live events long before this. It's just that more people, including K-pop fans, are becoming more politically aware and vocal, and they're using K-pop as an example because it's something a lot of people can relate to. If anything, this should be even more of a reason for us to wake up and realize we need to do something about it before things get worse.
