@eltri_united They're the only latinamerican team left. Also, one of only 8 nations to win the world cup. They're definitely not the clear favorite, but still very resilient.
@eltri_united Nothing is worse than fans of losing teams fighting over who looked better in defeat. Let's not forget that soccer is the sport in Mexico (at worst #2) whereas in the US it's no where near the top. I'm sure that folks in the US or Canada didn't stalk the opposing team either.
@joshhart France is like the OKC at 100% health of this tournament so they will be the favorites. I will mostly watch for fun the rest of the way, but will support South America (probably Argentina has a better shot than Colombia because of Messi & experience).
@SbondyNBA Soccer is no different from the major sports folks watch in the US. You need to have a super star player up front complemented by really solid players. Population here is huge, but perhaps part of the issue is the other sports dominate. Little Jimmy only sees Stefan post NBA.
@ESPNFC He's been hurt the whole tournament. The question I have is if him playing hurt was better than playing another player from the bench. If not, then he should've sat this game. When he's 100% he's a very good facilitator.
@JakeAsman He hasn't been 100% the whole tournament. I wish they announced it 100 times per game so folks stop trashing him. I've been watching on Telemundo btw.
@FredKatz@TheAthletic@IanBegley I'm happy that Shamet is back, but if I were his friend I would've advised him to explore free agency. He's already taking less at $6M/yr., but for only $1.6M to $1.7M to be guaranteed in years 3 and 4 is crazy.
@_the6thman@KnicksFanTv You should do an animation version of Knicks Fan TV. You have CP's voice nailed as well as three types of interactions they have, etc.... very funny! 🤣
@Argenpoirot think when the ref went to review the play and check with the VAR he was probably threatened because no way that was a penalty (foul on Kane). How else does he come away from that thinking its a penalty?
@AllFutbolMX England basically beat Mexico, the altitude, shenanigans from locals, the VAR, refs, etc... That penalty for Mexico's 2nd goal was a joke.
