As we come to the end of our review of the NOW That's What I Call Music Vol. 1 - 44 (1983 -1999) the bonus episode is a look at the Noughties Decade from the perspective of bands or songs Rebekah possibly not heard before
I love the music of the 80s but have to say there were a lot of underrated bands in the Noughties like Athlete, Starsailor, Embrace, Toploader, Klaxons, The Coral, Hard-Fi, The Twang all overlooked for Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Keane, Scissor Sisters etc
@Hoainguyen888@80slegends I've always said this song defined the Video age and MTV however it was The Sun Always Shines On TV along with Relax that for me defined the 80s Synth-pop from Electro (OMD, Human League, Depeche Mode etc) to Pop (Wham! Culture Club, Spandau Ballet, Adam & the Ants etc)
@Majic574@blitzed80smag1 Mad World was on their debut album 'The Hurting' not 'Songs From The Big Chair' which was Everybody Wants To Rule The World & Shout
@blitzed80smag1 Has to be Tears For Fears Songs From The Big Chair but need to mention A-ha's debut album Hunting High and Low which was also released in this year
@80slegends Voted tactically as I guessed correctly that Like A Virgin would run away with this so it's Talking Heads and Burning Down The House which didn't even make the charts and is sometimes wrongly thought of as being unreleased in the UK
@80slegends My favourite band are A-ha so no contest for me with their only #1 although I'm hoping Red Box also squeeze through as love Lean On Me from one of the 80s underrated duo's
@80slegends I didn't read all the songs just saw Land Of Make Believe and Walk Like An Egyptian so went the later and then when saw song leading which would have been my choice however top 2 go through so a lucky tactical vote lol
