Professionally Bald Mustache-Bearer, Weekend Barbarian and Dad about Town. Too stubborn to quit, too angry to die.

I'm in a pretty good mood because I have that feeling of carefree joy playing a game I haven't had in a while, Voidling Bound is just... fun, unambiguous fun.
It feels like playing an old Nintendo game back before live service grind and social media invasion.
It's really got a lot of depth that's got some all-ages appeal, all of the critters have multiple evolution paths that serve to be movesets and playstyles, and the 'grinding' for stats is unnoticeable because the game is joyously fun to just control.
@politicalmath I think you should check this game out for you and your kids, it's only single-player but boy, I am having a blast with it. It's got that rare, wholesome noblebright vibe, and its made by former Skylanders devs.
Its got a demo!

So, Voidling Bound is fucking great. Just a straight up no-nonsense third person shooter/ARPG with a charming atmosphere and surprising depth.
Meet Reznor, Rezor's a fucking murderer.
@KalebPrime I get it, I'm struggling at it too, I've been writing with professional intent for three or four years now? Maybe closer to five? Still not successful, I've sold enough books to buy a very nice coffee grinder and that's all.
It's gotta be about love of the craft. Do you love it?
@KalebPrime The writing thing is a continual process. I'm literally so embarrassed by mistakes I've found in my first books after they've been on amazon for YEARS at this point that I'm going to rewrite a huge chunk of it.
Success never comes fast unless you trend chase.
As much as I enjoy some Warhammer Lore, I am going to track down a copy of this, because I want to see what he does without a pre-existing IP to hang his narrative on:
Finishing up Horus Rising, I can see the structure of the Heresy already in place within this book, I really have to hand it to Dan Abenett here, he was given a framework to work and and built a narrative within it masterfully.
Excellent prose as well. Weighty with purpose.
Are they going to try to make Hyrule Field a BOTW style open world and cram it full of 'activities'? I have no idea, but a lot of modern remakes have made changes to these flavors that worries me.
I mostly am just tired of remakes. I crave new things.
My most pessimistic predictions for the OOT remake is it's going to be the same as the RE Remakes.
A lot of retcon plot, and bloating 'memorable' sections to be 30-40% of the game by themselves.
Could still be good but it's got a high chance to just be a skinsuit.
Are we going to have all of the pixel-hunting folded flat, is the water temple going to just be a linear dungeon? Are they going to remove the Desert Wasteland, or make the Bottom of the Well part of the Shadow Temple?
These are all contentious places to some people.
