There is a thin line between being a supporter to a politician & being a slave to one. In my books, if u support a politician, u critique them & u point out weaknesses. A slave sings & ululates ‘pamberi’ even when mistakes are clearly visible. The later doesn’t build a country
There was absolutely nothing good about colonialism, especially for black people.
The notion that ZANUPF’s total failure to run the country means Ian Smith was great is intellectually dishonest and reflects a profound ignorance of those times.
Hospitals were not built out of love for black people but because healthy workers were needed to labour for them.
While it is undeniable that ZANUPF has failed, that failure should not be used to rewrite history.
Do not be ahistorical about the past!
Our grandfathers and parents were heavily humiliated like little kids by colonials, the problem with our people as I always say is that they don’t read.
Anyone who took time to read about our past would not say such foolish things!
Ian Smith simply did what any government is supposed to do building roads, hospitals and other public infrastructure. ZANUPF failed to do basic things, that doesn’t make Smith and his racist regime great.
