@BowesChay It's completely pointless sending people out with a weapon who really don't intend to use it. That means the only possibilities are that it isn't used or the other party will use it.
The solution to the housing crisis it to remove all the road blocks to building a house. These are a selection of maybe five hundred decisions that have been made by people that didn't and can't understand unforeseen consequences. Unfortunately the opposition simply intend to add more blockages. People are now voting for the party that they feel will do the least damage. There is no party that can explain how they will fix the problem. A house went from 100 weeks wages to 1,000 weeks wages. 1990 was a better time for the young people of Ireland.
@vonderleyen@MichaelMartin@Ireland2026eu While being part of Europe should be a great thing houses have gone from 100 weeks wages to 1,000 weeks wages. This is the essence of prosperity in Irish culture. This is what allows young people to have a family. Now it's gone. We are not better off.
If it was 1990's there would be no problem. Gardai were tall fit people. Mostly males. They didn't waste time with pointless paper work. They earned enough money to live a middle class life on one wage. They actually turned up. You're mixing up five hundred problems into one soundbite.
@rtenews It would be nice to have like exactly twenty degrees every day though. Apart from Christmas where we could have snow for exactly two weeks. Can we organise that ?
@PhilipDwyer_MOI@EnochBurke It would be interesting to know what percentage of the LGB community want to be associated with the TQIA2S+** part under one flag ?
@griptmedia Minister James Browne is technically correct. All we need is someone to invest β¬1,000,000,000,000.00 with zero chance of making a profit.
@BostonTea84 It's just history repeating itself. One group opens borders to get votes (in this case) and the other group capitalises on the criminal behaviour of many of the new diverse arrivals to regain those votes.
@fran_k_NP2016@Niall_Boylan Maybe I'm only seeing a small percentage of the pictures then. This looks like an adult bondage show. Not suitable for primary school kids ok. It feels like primary school kids have become a target as opposed to an accidental oversight.
The sentiment is nice. The reality is that it's completely uneconomical to bring most derelict properties back into use. The red tape on a planning application alone would leave your head spinning. I have space for twelve units in Dublin. The risk of the council putting three bad tenants in renders the project too risky. Plus the RTB will charge me to defend non rent payers. The only projects that are economical are either small projects in grade A+ locations or huge projects receiving tax advantages.
