@maxwell44545673 40 is in the rear view for me, but as I can remember it wasn't traumatic. I'm in my 60s now- it's all about attitude. Yes, there are some gay men who dismiss anyone over 40 but I simply remind myself that the way they treat me now will be the way they are treated in the future.
