Why is a Level 2 and 3 plumbing course free in the UK for an asylum seeker and some migrants, but not for me, who is English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and born here?

I am a 27-year-old British bloke who already has Level 1 plumbing and just wants to finish Levels 2 and 3 so I can work the trade and leave my Production Operative role for a real career.

Cost to me: £4,000–£6,000.

The same courses are free if you have refugee status here, free for an asylum seeker who has been here 6 months waiting on a decision, or refused and appealing for 6 months.

Also free immediately for several other statuses and if you are on a low income it seems.

In 2021, Leilani Lutali was in stage 5 kidney failure. She already had a living donor, Jaimee Fougner, a friend from Bible study. UCHealth in Colorado told them the transplant was on track. Then the policy changed.

Both women were given 30 days to start the COVID vaccine or be dropped from the list. Leilani offered to sign a waiver. They refused. The hospital’s line was simple: no shot, no kidney.

She did not die on that list. She and Jaimee went to Baylor in Texas. The transplant went ahead without the mandate. Kidney function jumped from about 5% to 73% after surgery.

A willing donor. A dying patient. And a hospital that made the injection the price of staying alive.

Rupert Lowe’s REMARKABLE salary gift funded 5,000 hot meals

In December 2025, Restore Britain founder Rupert Lowe gave his monthly MP salary to Great Yarmouth’s Pathway Café, funding about 5,000 winter meals for struggling local residents.

Pathway serves free hot food in one of Norfolk’s most deprived communities. Roughly 80% of its visitors are elderly.

One former rough sleeper explained what that ordinary café door meant: “It was a safe and warm place to come when I was on the streets.”

That line stays with me. This was not a slogan or another polished promise. It was warmth, company and dinner on the table.

I think Rupert Lowe showed exactly what public service should mean. Restore Britain is right to put practical local action first.
