Well, with a coach left to board, that's officially #ukponycon2025 over.
This year was absolutely phenomenal, and it was amazing to meet everyone there! Massive thanks to the staff who made it happen, and everyone who I got to meet. See you all next time!!
@myluckymop I've never understood the mindset of execs who push this stuff.
Everyone is pretty clear about how much they hate ads and yet it seems like we get them forced in our faces more and more.
Whats worse is they don't realize that the annoyance doesn't actually make you wanna buy it
Twitch is killing itself with those pre-roll ads, if I click a stream and the first thing I see are 30 seconds unskippable ads, I'm closing the website.
I do this and omg it's just better.
No ads, no monthly sub, no buffering in areas with bad signal, no recommendations I'd literally never listen to. Just the stuff i enjoy
@DreamerUmbreon@MHFZZEnjoyer And that's assuming it's not a pc user. Most of my logged hours on steam was me scrolling tiktok. Not because i found the fights boring (when they didn't frame drop on a pc way above recommended specs)
It was because the shaders load screen took an hour every time i booted it up
The fact a WHOLE CITY in the US is running out of alcohol just because Scottish people payed a visit fills me with immense pride.
Try say you can outdrink us now!
JUST IN: Boston bars are reportedly running out of beer as Scottish World Cup fans drink the city dry — with one bar saying “We tripled St. Patrick’s Day.”
'Dr. STONE' artist Boichi:
"Pirated manga readers are not our opponents. They are our future audience. They are proof that demand already exists."
Boichi says many manga fans around the world still lack access to legal manga because some countries have no publishing infrastructure, translation systems, or distribution networks
"Telling manga fans in those countries, 'You should buy manga,' is meaningless if there is no actual way for them to buy it."
He argues that affordable digital manga services are key to expanding the industry globally and creating opportunities for future creators
@Jim_Sonweed@PolitlcsUK If you're concerned about privacy you should be against it entierly. The OSA causing sites to demand ID has already resulted in thousands of people's data leaked. The first time was only 24hrs into it's existence.
Not trusting a guy who got sued over his sites privacy violations
I want to introduce you to Steve. He’s 83. His wife died a few months ago and he comes to this lodge in Spring Mill, Indiana and draws. He taught art in Terre Haute, IN his whole life. He also did courtroom sketches in court cases. In the comments I’ll share some pics from his sketchbook. He was excited when I said I was going to share his sketches with the world.
