@AiringViews@DoctorPauls@RealJamesWoods Demographically, the UK has become largely secular.
However, institutionally and culturally, it is a Christian country.
Our laws, public holidays, monarchy, and foundational morals were/are entirely built on the Christian framework.
@Humanare40 I'm sorry, but if you take away the opportunity for me to discuss with a child that's under my care why they did or said what they did, why it can be seen as wrong, and perhaps apologise,
and then lay your hands on them, you're going to be having a long nap on the floor.
@DCanid@RupertLowe10 Because we need children to further pay towards a societal future?
Workers of today pay towards the pensions of today, with a population disparity, who then becomes the adult workers to pay for when you're of pension age?
More pensioners require more children...
Circle of life.
@RupertLowe10 We must tackle real fraudulent abuse.
The tone of putting claimants on the fire feels off.
We shouldn't make people feel guilty or scared to seek help.
Support, build them up and make work more rewarding than benefits for those who can. Some people have permanent barriers.

@RupertLowe10 You lost me at the second point.
Targeting genuine fraud is needed, but a two child cap feels wrong.
UK fertility is in crisis at around 1.39 (we need closer to 2.1). Pensions are the biggest and fastest growing welfare cost at over 178bn.
We need more young families.

@Robert45348939@marlboroughjoe@WillHayCardiff UK is still below the global average in emissions per capita at roughly 4.5 tons per year though?
Compared to
China's ~9,
America's ~13.6
and Russia's ~14.
@Kshi_nippon Honestly, I was always taught that when you travel, you shouldn't expect the host country to accommodate to you, it's your job to accommodate to them.
Even learning just a few basic words or carrying picture flashcards makes a big difference.
@MattWalshShow Imagine acting nonchalant in the video while committing hard to the 'they were using the volume' bit... only to be completely wrong.
It's a real set location. The writing and directing on that laser fence is just bad.
It's ok to admit that... π
@MugenLord Classic internet culture; if you don't publicly speak against something, they'll slap the 'standing for it'
label on you anyway.
We're all individuals just trying to create, live, and thrive on our own terms.
Keep doing you! The best work comes from that freedom.
@ClaireCoutinho Promoting AC use during our current cost of energy crisis in the UK is hilarious...
Furthermore bills are already about to spike again (+13% on price cap in July)
@Clint_Davey1 Climbing a sharp incline without armour is sort of hard enough, now image armour gambeson/plate whichever you prefer whilst holding a weapon and under return fire. Now add a small bit of rain, that incline has just become a mudslide back to the bottom.
