When 1 in 10 Toronto residents rely on a food bank, and 35% of food bank users hold multiple jobs, we need to do more to address the root causes of food insecurity and unaffordability.

With the team at Daily Bread Food Bank, we discussed long-term solutions to prevent seniors from becoming unhoused, and the need to replace the incarceration of unhoused people with humane, evidence-based solutions.

We need to ensure everyone has access to appropriate food and housing to live with dignity.

Thank you, @BlakesLaw! This team processed 5,468 lbs of food in a single volunteer shift, bagging oats so families facing hunger can access this pantry staple, and packing hampers for clients to take from our on-site food bank without needing to book an appointment.
