Every day has some level of: Gifts, Grief, Grind & the Grace to get through it.
The trick is to focus on praising God for His gifts instead of complaining about the grief &grind. AND realizing that tomorrow the cycle repeats. Tomorrow you will get enough grace to get u thru
Jesus did not suffer so that you would not suffer (in this life). The gospel does not promise you better life circumstances. Our suffering makes us more like Him.
Don't be surprised at the trials you are going through.
God's good gifts and every season of life come with challenges.
Anything that is valuable in the future has difficulty in the now. That is what God uses to strengthen our faith.
“It is in the quiet crucible of your personal private sufferings that your noblest dreams are born and God's greatest gifts are given in compensation for what you've been through.”
― Wintley Phipps
Food for thought: According to the Bible, Jesus was amazed twice, once by great faith and once by unbelief.
Luke 7:9
Mark 6:6
Would God be amazed by your great faith or lack of faith?
You can pray or panic.
You can worship or worry.
You can have faith or fear.
Everything can be taken from you except the power to choose how you will respond.
The secret of contentment is not in what you have, but in who you know. Jesus is with you and is all you need.
Its not in the fulfillment of what you want, it is the realization in what you have.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want"
Thankfulness glorifies God.
No matter what is going on in your life, you can find so much to be grateful for.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give THANKS in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus"
Before the truth can set you free, it needs to be applied.
Most people do not like hard truth because it requires them to change. They don't want to be uncomfortable so they make excuses & brush it aside.
Like the parable of the sower, seed often lands on hard, rocky ground.
Life is full of gifts, grind and grief. Some pain is meant to be endured. Do not be surprised by fiery trials because they are meant to show that your faith is genuine.
