I worked all morning to make a visual on Canva for my Morpheux x OC fic that I wouldn't be ashamed of, so of course I need to post it here... 🩷 And with a bit of self promotion since I'm at it: https://t.co/nRC2Qy0rZ5
When will people understand that padmé's honest love for anakin actually saved the galaxy because it led to Luke and Leia and if palpatine hadn't been able to corrupt him through threats of her death he'd have just made someone else his murderous apprentice (probably ahsoka)
It's been a year and some people still grossly misinterpret Bix's character journey. Her choice of becoming a mother, her choice of walking away from a fight that nearly took her life and DEFINITELY took much of her sanity, her choice of separating from Cassian for what SHE believes to be the greater good ... These are all remarkable acts of resistance, emancipation and consciousness.
It's a million times better than killing her for shock value or making her sit out the year leading towards Rogue One on Yavin, but the internalised misogyny of some Star Wars fans has such deep roots, they believe every character who doesn't run around making her way through the galaxy with a lightsaber or blaster is immediately worthless.
bix’s journey as being fundamentally about reclaiming control over her life after the empire tried to strip it away. her strength, her choices, and her willingness to fight back are central to her character, not just a prelude to becoming a mother.
Love the assumption that people only hate this movie because social media told them too, while on a platform that assaults me daily with posts like this telling me this movie is greatest film ever made.
Its almost like I formed my own opinion or something...
Its probably been said 100s of times by now but I'm really going miss these two interacting next season. For me their story was the most compelling part of season 2, and the performances of both Charlie & Charles apart and together was fantastic.

My reading on Bo-Katan I’ve been able to rationalize that she probably ran away from home (probably as a teenager at the oldest) and didn’t know what she wanted, so finally having to cope with Satine being dead, something that was in theory her goal, was a shock to her system
Controversial Ik but I think the SW fandom jumps too quickly to the conclusion that a female character exists only to further a male character's arc, or that she was fridged. Idk maybe it speaks more of the obsession for said male characters than about the writers' intention 🤫
Padmé, the not very important:
•Queen turned Senator
•Leader of the peace/pacifist faction of the Galactic Senate
•Thorn in Sidious’ side the entire civil war
•THE catalyst of Anakin’s fall to the dark
•Close friend & ally of rebel leaders Bail Organa & Mon Mothma
Hey can we all talk about how Padme and Satine are never referenced outside of TVW and the prequels? Bo had a whole ass arc telling Din about her life, her family, etc and not once was Satine mentioned? Padme not mentioned by name in ANY successor material? Erasure!!!!
I agree and I've even started writing a whole Tumblr post about this claim!
Satine wasn't only "Obi-Wan's love interest". She was first and foremost the leader of Mandalore and her life was threatened in the first episode of her arc already. Her death was always a given.
I don't care for Satine but i don't really think her death constitutes fridging. It's framing perhaps in relation to Obi-Wan, but she dies because she's the leader of a collapsing state, and her status as leader of said state has been a defining part of her character and story.
@DarksaberLight They couldn't even be bothered to place her beside a character she knew and loved, like her sister, or her son, oops, I mean, her nephew... It feels like they remembered her at the last minute and put her where there was an empty spot but didn't think anyone would notice 👿
