One verse from the Rāmāyaṇa of Vālmīki (Gītā Press) tweeted daily and my own English translation. Follow to read through Rāmāyaṇa slowly. Feedback welcome.
In the beginning, Rāma' journey in the forest & so on; he slew the golden deer,
Sītā's abduction; Jaṭāyu's death; alliance with Sugrīva;
Defeat of Vālī; crossing the ocean; burning the city of Laṅkā;
Then the slaying of Rāvaṇa and Kumbhakarṇa; this is the Rāmāyaṇa
(BK20.18cd-19) "When the powerful [Rāvaṇa] isn't disrupting the ritual, then the powerful rākṣasas Marīci and Subāhu will disrupt the ritual under his command."
