A year ago, my friend Charlie Kirk was murdered.

I wish we lived in a country where we talked to each other more. Not just to people who agree with us, but especially to people who don’t.

Charlie showed up. He spoke his mind. He listened. He debated. He believed ideas should be answered with ideas.

Politics gets heated. People get angry. But no disagreement is worth a human life.

Keep talking to each other.

I’m thinking of Charlie and praying for his family today. May God rest his soul.
