@0Beanie05923291@ThrillaRilla369 And similarly, when a principal or staff member comes into my classroom, I have students say “good morning Mr/Mrs _____” and then “Have a good day Mr/Mrs _____” when they leave.
Tennessee Tech has it going on! 🤩 The windows are controlled by computer programming. The College of Engineering Dean can sit in his office and darken or brighten the windows! He can also program the windows to read "TTU". The pond in the distance was intentionally created for lab projects. Every single thing has a purpose there! The building is a "living building" that can determine how many people are in it, what the weight or BMI of a person. It can also be used to determine whether any building materials are sinking, etc. They continue to find ways to use this technology!
@elonmusk Using https://t.co/GfTGcvyK9e, the current location of Elon’s Tesla is 120,145,487 miles from Earth, moving toward Earth at a speed of 36,574 mi/h, and 173,996,618 miles from Mars, moving away from the planet at a speed of 20,154 mi/h
Iteration in Action 🔄❤️
The fidget boards now being used in pediatric treatment room at MidHudson Regional Hospital didn’t appear overnight.
Elementary students learned life science concepts and created initial prototypes. High school manufacturing students refined and built the designs. The prototypes then returned to the elementary students for testing and feedback before final revisions were made.
Design. Test. Revise. Improve.
What started as a classroom idea became a product that is now supporting real pediatric patients.
That’s the power of authentic PBL—learning that extends beyond the classroom and creates impact in the community.

Your local school probably has “signing day” for athletes…
Should they also have signing day for students getting offers for Auto Tech careers?

@DanShuster@TsuiAllen “One student even fashioned something with some Legos he had in his backpack.”
Best line I’ve read all week! We need more kids with Legos in their backpack!
@MichaelDollins Definitely! I’ve seen a video of @Joe_Sanfelippo’s school doing big signing events for new teachers…imagine how that makes a new teacher feel
@0Beanie05923291 “That humility and desire to learn will be noticed (and hopefully emulated) by their students and colleagues.”
Reading is definitely an emulated, or contagious activity. We need an outbreak in education.
Another student answer to what they like about my math class… “I like how hardworking this class is”
Give kids a challenging, but supportive, learning environment & they’ll rise to the expectations.
On my exams, I always ask students what’s good about this class and what could be better
“It was always calm” was a great response.
I learned that aspect of classroom culture from Mister Rogers.
