My husband’s best friend showed up at my house at 2:00 AM.
He was standing outside in the rain.
He looked terrified.
I opened the door.
“What’s wrong?”
He looked behind him.
Then whispered:
“Is your husband home?”
“No.”
“Good.”
He stepped inside.
I had never seen him look that scared.
He handed me an envelope.
“Don’t open this until I’m gone.”
I laughed nervously.
“What is it?”
“Proof.”
“Proof of what?”
He wouldn’t answer.
Then he said:
@TheStingisBack I have been watching the series on the Roku channel. Three things stand out. He smokes a lot. He uses pay phones, and in traffic shots almost all the cars are American. You see some English brands, some German, but hardly any Japanese cars. My how things changed.
@PicturesFoIder Why does marketing cost as much as the movie? He didn't mention streaming at all. Aren't ticket prices about 2x what they used to be, not even that long ago?
@abebooks Who do I complain to about a terrible book buying experience? You website navigation is just one big circle. Apparently designed to thwart communication. I'm still owed return postage.
@AbeBooks@ThriftBooks I see where you got the book you sent me back. Now who is going to reimburse me for the return postage on a book that never should have been sold?
@ThriftBooks I called, the CSR while nice was of no help. You guys passed the buck to @AbeBooks. Thriftbooks was the one who sent me the moldy, water damaged book. The CSR tried to say occurred in transit (having not seen it). This biohazard was shipped damaged. I had to pay to return it.
@ThriftBooks Hi, I'd like to know why y'all sent me an obviously water damaged, moldy, smelly book. Then you expect me to pay return shipping on a book that should have never been sold in the first place. Your customer service in this matter has been horrendous.
@AbeBooks I just got a book from one of your sellers. It's water damaged, moldy and smells. There is no way it should have ever been considered for sale. I have reached out to the seller, but I don't understand how a book in such condition could even be considered for sale.
@AbeBooks I have tried that, and your site seems to be very difficult to use. I have taken photos of the way the book was shipped. I do not see a way to contact you or attach the photos.
