That is quite an achievement.

In fact - you are 2nd longest-still serving member in Congress.

It has been a long time since you held a private sector job.

AND yes 50 years ago - in 1976 (it was America's Bicentennial that year) - people still punched clocks back then. The world has changed a lot.

During your 50 years in Congress - you watched as the creators and inventors and producers changed the world, creating trillions in new wealth, millions of new jobs and dramatically raising living standards for everyone rich and poor alike.

And for 50 years you have voted to raise taxes and regulate and oversee every move of the private sector.

You have never created or invented or produced. Just taxed and regulated and outraged.

But thank you for using the platform the "TRILLIONAIRE class" has provided to the entire world for free to tell us all how disgusted you are.

82 years ago today, kids stormed the beaches of Normandy.

They were 18, 19, 20 years old. They were terrified. They did it anyway.

They bled into the sand so that the people back home could live free. So their kids could grow up in a country worth protecting. So the next generation wouldn’t have to fight that fight.

They won.

Look at what we handed them.

Fentanyl killing 100,000 Americans a year. Families shattered. Men dying alone in trap houses. Kids scrolling themselves into oblivion. Mental health cratering. Us vs. Them has become the only language we speak.

I’m not here to blame a party. I’m done with that game.

Political ideology collapses on first contact with human suffering - literally every single time.

I’m politically homeless and proud of it - because the streets don’t ask how you vote. The trap house doesn’t care about your bumper sticker. The kid who overdosed last night wasn’t a Democrat or a Republican. He was somebody’s son.

I’ve been in those houses. I’ve been that kid.

The men who hit those beaches didn’t stop to ask if the guy next to them voted the right way. They just moved forward. Together. Because the mission was bigger than any one of them.

That’s what we’ve lost.

Not our freedom. Not our flag. Our willingness to be for something instead of just against each other.

The Greatest Generation didn’t win so we could spend eighty years tearing ourselves apart from the inside. They won so we’d have the chance to be great too.

We’re squandering it.

I don’t know what party fixes fentanyl. I don’t know what ideology saves a kid from a trap house in South Memphis. I know what works on the ground - showing up, building trust, doing the work nobody’s coming to do for you.

That’s the only side I’m on.

It took federal indictments and pressure for any action against the fraud happening across our state.

When I am in the United States Senate, I will immediately cosponsor the Deporting Fraudsters Act.

Illegal immigrants who commit fraud will be deported, Americans convicted of fraud will face mandatory minimum sentences, and states will be required to implement safeguards before receiving federal tax dollars.

Minnesota DHS is disenrolling providers by the thousands in the name of "program integrity."

But where is the accountability for DHS leadership, Provider Enrollment staff, OIG staff, licensing officials, and Behavioral Health Administration leaders whose job was to oversee these programs in the first place?

If providers failed oversight standards, why do the taxpayer-funded officials responsible for enrollment, monitoring, auditing, and enforcement continue collecting paychecks without similar scrutiny?

Accountability should apply to government administrators too—not just providers.
