@Be_like_legend The other thing that often goes with this, unfortunately, is that the child doing all of the caregiving is criticized openly for 'not doing enough' and/or 'not doing the right things'. Maybe this is due to their guilty feelings? IDK, but it feels awful.

@edgaralandough I sold my 99 year old 'character filled' house (but time and $ sucking maintenance wise) and bought a new house, taking only what I actually love into the new space. I feel like a new person. While the new home cost more upfront I have far more free time.
