Earlier today, the Head of Public Service, Felix Kosgei, led a tree-planting exercise during the 10th Edition of the Kaptagat Integrated Conservation Program at Chebior in the Sabor Forest Block, Keiyo South. The exercise forms part of ongoing efforts to restore and conserve the Kaptagat Forest Ecosystem.
The initiative supports the Presidential Directive to plant 15 billion trees by 2032 as a key measure to combat the effects of climate change. It also reinforces the country's commitment to environmental
conservation and sustainable development.
KeRRA Golf Team joined other golfers in the Annual Nyeri Hospice Golf Tournament which is a key fundraising event held at the Nyeri Golf Club to support the hospice's critical medical mission for terminally ill patients, this charitable event has been a longstanding tradition with the hospice running such fundraising activities since 1996 and KeRRA has been supporting this event for the last 6 years through CSR.
The KeRRA Director General, Eng. J.K. Magondu, together with the Deputy Director in charge of the Axle Load Control Unit, Eng. John W. Mativo, today held a meeting with the Deputy Inspector General of Police –KPS, Mr. Eliud K. Lagat, CBS.
The meeting focused on establishing a structured framework for collaboration in the management of KeRRA's four virtual weighbridges and ten mobile weighbridges across the country and the partnership aims to strengthen enforcement and ensure motorists comply with the axle load control regulations and guidelines prescribed under the Traffic Act (Cap. 403)

KeRRA continues to empower communities through its CSR program. Today at Tipet Girls High School in West Pokot, the Authority donated a water tank and accompanying sanitation items.
Situated far from the nearest town, the girls-only school faces challenges in accessing reliable water services. This donation will help improve hygiene, promote dignity, and create a healthier learning environment for the students. KeRRA remains committed to supporting communities through initiatives that enhance lives beyond road infrastructure.

As part of the Presidential directive and national target of planting 15 billion trees by the year 2032, staff from Kenya Rural Roads Authority Headquarters, in partnership with the Vihiga Region team, today participated in a tree planting exercise at the Maragoli Forest as part of the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
Through this noble environmental conservation effort, KeRRA has adopted 27 hectares of the Maragoli Forest for rehabilitation and restoration, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable environmental management, climate action and the protection of Kenya’s natural ecosystems for future generations.
The exercise was graced by the Chief Forest Conservator, Vihiga County, Ms. Hellen Sikuku, alongside KeRRA staff and regional stakeholders who joined hands in supporting the government’s ambitious tree growing agenda.
Together, we are building greener communities, restoring our forests and securing a sustainable future one tree at a time.
The Authority, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, today participated in the annual Mater Heart Run held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi county. Staff from HQ, alongside regional teams from Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Machakos, and Murang’a, took part in the event, while Vihiga and Kakamega regional staff participated in the run within their respective counties.The initiative aims to support children living with heart conditions by raising funds for life-saving cardiac treatment.

Implemented by the Coast Development Authority and supervised by KeRRA, the project will cut travel time, boost trade, spur tourism, and improve access for local communities. A milestone for coastal connectivity and economic growth.

His Excellency William Ruto this morning presided over the Launch of the Upgrading to Bitumen Standards of the 15.5 km Kiriko–Kagumoini–Gitugi–Chui Karugia Road in Murang'a County.
The project is expected to enhance the efficient transport of agricultural produce such as tea, maize, and milk to key markets, including Murang'a and Othaya, thereby boosting trade and increasing farmers’ incomes.
This morning His Excellency the President William Samoei Ruto, PhD launched the upgrading to bitumen standard of the 11.3km Sameta-Egetuki-Ikoba road in Kisii county.
The road will play a major role in ensuring easy access to resources by easing transport of produce to markets boosting trade in the region
This Morning , H.E. President William Ruto officially launched the upgrading to bitumen standard of the 17.8km Etago–Ekonamogende–Magenche/Mogenda–Nyamaiya (G40029) Road, Phase 1 covering Etago–Ekona–Mogende–Magenche.
The road is a key access route to Etago Market Centre and Magenche Town, opening up the surrounding areas by linking major roads and nearby towns, significantly improving the movement of people, goods and services.
Local farmers, who predominantly rely on agriculture, are set to benefit from faster and more efficient transport of their produce to market centres, enhancing livelihoods and boosting the local economy.

The project is set to enhance connectivity by linking key roads and nearby towns, easing the movement of people, goods and services across the region.
It also brings a major boost to local farmers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of agricultural produce to markets and town centers, strengthening livelihoods and supporting economic growth.
