@MaryHea72700273@annkami I am so sorry. I haven’t been here for some months, but for a couple of years, Mary and I had said hello two or three times a week. Came on this evening to check who, of my “twitter” chums, was still here. And she isn’t. It feels quite shockingly surreal. 🙏❤️
Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview in March 2025 with the understanding it would only be released after her death. This is her final message from it.
For those who care.
No power for more than 10 hours now.
I finished my workout

“I'm Jewish.. All Jewish people are not k!llers. This is just a section of the Israeli people that are like that.. What happened in Gaza was utterly wrong, wicked and terrifying. The Hamas attack was terrible.. but it came from 70 years of oppression..”

This is the first time that one of my tweets has been 'disappeared'
It was about the BBC's Fiona Bruce closing down discussion of Reform UK's ties to Putin's Russia
Why would Israel refuse to release a respected surgeon? There have been reports from his lawyer than Dr. Abu Safiya has been severely tortured & presumably the Israelis now fear detailed accounts emerging about their war crimes against Palestinian doctors. But the truth will out
Just had another "we are currently experiencing a unusually large volume of calls - and will be with you as soon as possible" message.
JUST BE HONEST instead record
"we are currently understaffing our call centres, we will be with you as quickly as is financially expedient!"
@TedUrchin Tricky one, Ted… I hardly look these days, and am about to transfer myself to Bluesky, finally… just have to take the time to briefly contact those who aren’t there, to wave across the ether. But the more I see/ hear of Musk, the less I want the contamination… xx
A child cries while carrying his younger sister on his shoulders, walking along the long displacement route from northern Gaza to the south... a scene that captures the suffering of innocent children under the horrors of war.
A marvellous afternoon at @finborough watching the first London revival of A A Milne’s The Truth About Blayds @blayds2025 in more than 100 years! In David Gilmore’s compelling production with an ace cast it’s a must-see gem: funny, touching, surprising. 5 stars!
A tremendous cast (led by the great William Gaunt in the title role) at @finborough in @blayds2025 - I went because I’m fascinated by A A Milne having spent a year writing his story. I stayed to cheer because the play is so good & so brilliantly done. 5 stars.

Not seen in London since 1921! A first-rate revival of #AAMilne’s play evokes the atmosphere of yesteryear while invoking moral dilemmas true to today.

1 September 1989. Conservative government of Margaret Thatcher began the controversial privatisation of the public water authorities. Water rates soon shot up in price. Public opinion polls consistently show the public would prefer the water supply to be under state control.
