"Be I" was released on August 8, 2014 as B.I's solo track for Show Me the Money 3, Pt. 1.

At the time, he was 17 years old (international age) and competed on Show Me the Money 3, where he performed the song. B.I wrote the lyrics himself, while the music was composed by Choice37 and B.I.

The track is widely regarded as one of the earliest showcases of Hanbin's songwriting and rap skills before iKON officially debuted in 2015.

< BE I > became the first song from SHOW ME THE MONEY to reach number 1 on the Melon chart .
