With $127bn FCNR(B) inflow, some expect easy retail lending. Unlikely.. that would spike NPAs in this uncertain market. More likely: flows to manufacturing and innovative mid & large-cap companies.
When AI eventually automates most work, the biggest economic problem may be deflation.Productivity will explode, production costs will fall, but people may lose wage income.
Governments may eventually have to redistribute purchasing power just to keep demand alive.
@PeterSchiff Very logical move by trump. If increased tarrifs, didn't increase the price of good X that means the country's economy has found ways to produce it without import requirements.
Ai can take time. The computer capabilities including required infrastructure, power and chips is still difficient and let's not forget the required resources to mass produce them.
The thought of AI keeps me awake at night sometimes. The transition of humans to humonoids needs to be gradual enough for both intelligence to transfuse. Otherwise we are out just for disaster.
My idea of investing has completely changed. It used to be about making money. Now itโs about backing a business that will do good and parking my money behind that idea. Iโm not just helping myself, Iโm helping the entire business ecosystem by investing.
Starting a service business from scratch right now is a bad idea. Major companiesโ earnings show falling margins. WPI is at 9.9% and CPI at 4.4%. Costs arenโt being passed to consumers because demand is weak and spending is down. Itโs a downward economic spiral. Efficiency= Ans!!
Next 12 months: Gold up 50%+. Commodities and precious metals surge too. Inflation will spike because AIโs promised productivity gains wonโt happen short-term.
I haven't been following the protests but it feel like a sign of economic uncertainty in the country. Jobs are scarce, inflation is high, there's a lot of uncertainty about the future, and people feel a total loss of power. Young people especially are feeling that uncertainty.
The ruling party is supposed to be right-wing, but it's following the same protocols as a communist party. Party beneficiaries are benefiting from government contracts, and the children of leaders are taking roles they might not fully deserve.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Protests are not the answer. Finding the optimum solution with technological advancements is the answer. If those arenโt implemented, then you can protest.
The access to technology, capital, and skilled talent gives established businesses a major advantage. This leaves very little room for new companies to compete. I would put my money on these factors above anything else.
My goal is to cook most of my meals at home rather than eating out. I want to know what ingredients go into my body. It doesnโt have to be perfect, just predictable and intentional.
Marriages are disrupted. People fear commitment, end it, or avoid kids. Basic needs are abundant, but wants and AI-driven uncertainty keep rising. Weird times. Doing the opposite of the world, might be the only solution.
Say whatever you want about Trump as a leader. I will always choose him over others because he doesn't shy away from questions. He might not give the right answers, but he never shies away.
