@AlexJDonnelly@ByElizaReilly Just for context, the picture in that link is of Ash Centra, who was happy to go anywhere, in fact she was a Gold Coast AFLW supporter, there may have been some telling clubs not to pick them but not Ash Centra.
@ChicagoBears You should have had Tory Taylor there to spoil it. He played Aussie rules football where one of the skills was to knock the ball down from a pack situation. It's called a spoil. Ask him and next time have him out there.
@rtralphy How's my memory! Upon further checking there was actually 8! Not 4 or 6. I take your point, but still think the Cox Plate will most years be a great race, just my opinion.
@rtralphy I went to the Cox Plate with 4 horses in 2003. The great Lohnro got rolled by what turned out to be the great Fields of Omagh. There have been big and small fields for a long time. There has been good and bad cox plates for a long time. Field size doesn't mean a bad race.
@rohan_connolly Or...it helps with the inequity of the fixture, and gives us more footy? I.e. you get to do your job for a longer period? It's a good thing.
Daniel Hoyne on SEN this morning gave some absolutely insane Dusty stats & I'm gonna drop them in the thread below
