Small town, hard working, blue-collared MAN. I trust no politician and the MSM less-trust is earned. I don’t respect you for what you say, but for what you do.

Canada may still work very well for Ottawa.
But it no longer works for Alberta.
Alberta has outgrown the old arrangement. Alberta is ready to chart its own path.
74% of Calgarians say Alberta should remain part of Canada. 71% support speaking out about the risks separation would create.
Canada isn't perfect. No country is. But our future isn't built by walking away from our challenges. It's built by fixing them, together.
@CoryBMorgan@albertaradios I don't follow much of anything... but here goes: If someone decided to 'not allow' one thing but allow another- it appears that there is some kind of discrimination. I am small town- we are happy to have ANY floats in our little parades. I don't know which 'side' I'm on-ffs
@bryan_avison@5dme81@ABDanielleSmith I smell a bleeding heart lefty. If only you put some constructive criticism into what you believe/think... like literally, just stop the cbc for a week or 2- see if your brain can decipher things differently.
There is nothing extreme about asking whether Alberta would be better governed by Albertans.
It is one of the most reasonable questions in Canadian politics today.
I know the last decade under the Trudeau-NDP was difficult and Albertans have every right to be frustrated. But thanks to the leadership of Albertans, the tide is finally turning in our favour.
The vast majority of Trudeau’s ‘9 bad laws’ have been scrapped or reformed. Investment has begun flowing back into energy, tech, and agriculture, and we are creating more jobs than the rest of the country combined.
Now is not the time to give up hope. Now is the time to double down and help Canada reach its incredible potential.
With Alberta leading the way, we can turn Canada into one of the most strong and prosperous economies in the world.
On October 19, I will be voting for Alberta to remain in Canada. I hope you will join me in doing so.
But why? You made some great emotional points of being Albertan, good personal resume. I can do the same thing because I have also live in Alberta all my life. It's not a competition.
Why do you hold such patriotism for Canada? Do you not have concerns with the governance of this Country? Is the list of things that are getting worse much longer then the things that are getting better?
Do you not think that Alberta should show how to do this better? We can't build a bridge with confederation, Alberta under that system has and always will be a resource colony. I'm not making that up, it's a fact and you don't have to look hard to verify that for yourself.
So why are we staying in Canada? What's a good reason? I can give you dozens of reasons we should leave. Can you do the same for staying?
The Alberta Referendum Question: The Most Canadian Thing Ever
Ladies and gentlemen, Canada has done it.
After decades of consulting about consultants, reporting about reports, and commissioning studies about the effectiveness of studies - Canada has achieved its bureaucratic magnum opus.
Alberta, furious at being bled dry by a federal government that turns money into meetings, has decided to leave.
Reasonable. Logical. Justified.
Their first move?
A referendum to decide if they should have a referendum.
Sit with that.
A province so enraged by Ottawa's paralytic, process-obsessed governance has responded by inventing a new layer of process. They caught the Canadian governance disease so badly they're doing it while trying to escape.
This is a prison break where the inmates stopped to file the paperwork.
"You want independence? Wonderful. First - a report." "The report recommends a referendum."
"But before that - a referendum about the referendum."
"Results will be submitted to the government you're trying to leave."
"The government thanks you for your patience."
Other independence movements stormed the Bastille. Threw tea in a harbour. Wrote passionate declarations by candlelight.
Alberta is holding a non-binding vote about the possibility of a binding vote — submitted for consideration to the exact government they're trying to escape.
It is the geopolitical equivalent of asking your landlord for permission to move out.
And here is the beautiful, devastating punchline:
Nobody is surprised. Because this is just how things work here. The process IS the point. The report IS the product. The meeting IS the outcome.
Actual results are a bonus and frankly a little unexpected.
Alberta set out to roast Ottawa.
Instead they proved Ottawa's greatest achievement =that no matter how angry you are, no matter how justified the grievance, no matter how clearly you see the dysfunction:
Canada will bureaucrat you into submission. Every single time.
The revolution will not be televised.
It will be tabled pending further review.
Allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.
Why did Samson Cree First Nation in Maskwacis Alberta receive $41,000 from the Federal Government for consultations on “Coal Mining Effluent Regulations” when the nearest coal mine is 110 km away in a different watershed?
FN consultation comes with payments. Are Albertan FN consulted on Atlantic Cod fisheries?
Ok Canadians- you've been told your whole life you(we) are the nicest/polite people in the world. Well- I've officially decided 'we' are not that anymore. After being in USA for 6 days- I can already tell you- these people have us beat. Montana/Idaho- I love you! Cheers!
The snakes will always have snake oil to sell. Is it strange to consider we need a "deal" with the East?? Sorry - no 'deals'. No more $ transfers. No more. #FreeAlberta#AlbertaRepublic
Albertans, I'm putting you on notice.
The NEP was put in place to extract resource wealth from Alberta and allocate it to Ottawa.
This caused Alberta to reach a breaking point.
It's clear, Albertans don't want to fork over cash for no return.
Now we're talking about a new pipeline... and the feds aren't so silly as to just try and rip the resources.
Besides, that's tough work.
Instead they'll just tax all the tough work to accomplish the same goal. And because it's hidden away on a spreadsheet column somewhere, they're hoping Albertans won't notice.
Consider this your notice.
This deal isn't the win you think it is.
🇨🇦 The Left Called Me Out 🇨🇦
After my post from yesterday titled Alberta Tried, they called me a whiny separatist and told me that I blame everybody else, and have nothing to complain about
.
They challenged me to come up with just a few complaints to prove that I know what I'm talking about, to which I declined, because I'm not going to argue with 200 people in one thread.
So I thought I would make a little list of a few things to NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT and address this all at once.
They told me I have nothing better to do than slander the nation...but telling the truth isn't slander...so I firstly would ask... which "nation"
are you referring to exactly?
Is it the world's first post-national state?
Is that the nation you're talking about?
Is it the country whose leaders sell your vote out to foreign NGOs?
The one that doubled the national debt and ruined the future of our youth?
The one whose provinces can barely trade amongst themselves and block each other's prosperity?
The one with homeless camps and drug addicts coast to coast in every city and town?
The one that lets violent offenders walk free on catch-and-release bail only to reoffend days later?
The one that turned its biggest cities into international money laundering hubs?
The one that flooded small towns with unvetted mass immigration while calling critics bigots?
The one that destroyed its energy sector chasing net zero while Canadians freeze?
The one that imported hundreds of thousands of people with no plan for housing or healthcare?
The one that made it illegal to protest outside politicians’ homes but allowed illegal blockades?
The one where foreign students now outnumber Canadian students in universities?
The one where kids can’t read or do basic math but are taught gender ideology in school?
The one that lost track of over two million temporary residents?
The one that pays healthy young men to stay home on welfare?
The one that prints money nonstop and acts shocked when everything costs double?
The one that spends more on migrants and hotel rooms than on its own veterans?
The one where government employees now outnumber manufacturing workers?
The one that forces taxpayers to fund gender surgeries while patients wait years for basic care?
The one that paid for media to attack the opposition while ignoring government scandals?
The one that celebrates record population growth while food bank usage hits all time highs?
The one that lets police ignore repeat offenders but cracks down on concerned parents at school boards?
The one that raised taxes relentlessly while roads and infrastructure crumble?
The one that partners with foreign NGOs actively funding political activism inside Canada?
The one that hands out free drugs and needles but arrests people for protecting their own property?
The one with homeless camps from coast to coast?
The one where over two million people now rely on food banks just to eat?
The one where mayors are now declaring states of emergency because of rampant extortion rackets?
The one that changed its immigration system to favour economic migrants over skilled workers?
The one that lets China run police stations on Canadian soil?
The one that’s lost control of its borders so badly even the U.S. started turning people away?
The one that lets criminals and gangs roam free while calling law-abiding citizens the real threat?
The one overrun by 4,000 organized crime gangs while citizens are treated like the enemy?
The one that has made Canada so uncompetitive that businesses are uprooting and moving to the United States?
The one with the government who has registered more scandals than any other in Canadian history?
The one that has called its citizens every single ist and ism in the book?
That nation?
The Liberals are right...
Alberta separatists and Canadian Conservatives have absolutely nothing to complain about.
I concede.
Now let's all have a big group hug and support Mark Carney as he "Builds Canada Strong."
