the dynamic wherein Knoxville tortures his friends but ultimately takes on the worst and scariest action himself is irreplaceable. it's why his medically-necessitated retirement meant the end for the whole thing. just doesn't work if he's not taking it hardest.
The final act of The Hateful Eight is some of the best filmmaking of Quentin Tarantino’s career. I will always speak positively about this film because in addition to an excellent script, every last actor in this film is excellent. I would love to see this adapted into a play.
Picturing Johnny Knoxville telling this to the interviewer before going off to film his final stunt like Mickey Rourke about to do the big jump at the end of The Wrestler

I’m in the minority but I really enjoy basketball and my 82 games. Love coming home on a boring ass Tuesday to watch a Houston/clips or a Monday after work to watch Detroit muck it up with Charlotte… it’s not boring to me. Sorry
