As I did back to the 60s, it is nostalgic to go to the beach for a launch again. Then the pads were south of the Cape and you could watch from there. Of the many hundreds of launches I’ve seen, there is no better place, no more ‘Florida’ a place to watch a launch. Thanks Blue.

@LauraForczyk The Cape is not unlike the airports in Chicago or Atlanta. It gets busy, and issues arise, but there is real value and synergy from all that activity. Good management will determine if you’re successful in meeting those challenges. Thanks for the analysis.

@SpaceBrendan It is unfortunate timing, but exploration is a human enterprise and by definition prone to unexpected disruptions. What’s important is DEMO-2. If D-2 does well, it’s a footnote in history. If it does not, then the twitterverse will explode.

I grew up with the Original 7 astronauts of Project Mercury. Re: the passing of Annie Glenn, Cocoa Beach was a wild place back then and John Glenn was respected as a ‘decent guy’. Annie was always his anchor. This chapter in US Space history has now passed. God speed Annie Glenn.
