@dadsweb67 Happens here (very) occasionally that the hottest place in the UK is in the Scottish highlands. I remember it once making the news that Inverness was hotter than Bangkok for a day!

@dadsweb67 I once took a cat nap on a quiet stretch of road on a long ride from Kagoshima to Kobe. It did help, but I’ve never done such a long distance in a day since then. It really did me in.
