@LondonBento Maybe true, but the average wage here is 5 million, so 8 definitely isn’t exactly poverty line. There are other wives in the comments saying you need 30mil as a household to live comfortably in Tokyo, which seems somewhat excessive…
What is truly “real”? Certainly not all those temples and shrines that were built for tourists. Day drinking in Nishinari? Soapland? Keirin? Pachinko parlour?

@haradatora That’s half the battle! I’ve gotten rid of my snacking and don’t feel the urge to have something sweet at the end of meals at moment. Hopefully those little habits won’t creep back. I’m contemplating getting the very expensive pair of riding leather pants I want to lock me in at
