@WaywardRabbler@mtaibbi This is a good point! Voting should be earned by getting the most basic ass shit accomplished. Too bad this kind of common sense is taboo! We have literally retarded ourselves.
@chrisprice@VitalVegas I say the only way Vegas drops its prices is to contract. The ultra high real estate value drives the prices of everything, especially in a reit structure.
@missioncasillas@mdv19591@LasVegasLocally They spent $500M either way. This way they get the strip as their venue. Not the venue, their venue. The rest of us be damned.
@adamcarolla Seems like the way they built the Hoover Dam. Just keep throwing material at the project since we cant properly model the failure modes in 2026.
@PythiaAtDelphi@Shoestring_Lab@t_blom Exact same reason power plants can be air cooled (Gillette, Wyoming) but it isn't the usual way they're designed.
@JanetMi54884187@nothanksfamlol@watilo@tutueme@SouthwestAir They now charge to choose *any* seat you wish reserved, otherwise, you wait until check-in and get assigned randomly from what remains. No guarantees there, none, zero. I miss the cattle call and the race to check-in 24 hrs prior. It was a game I was happy to play for one price.
Folks. I’m going to keep this real simple.
- If you park in the middle of tha street and block law enforcement, they have a right to detain you for an infraction. If it’s done on purpose, it’s a crime.
- If they are legally detaining you , and you try to get away, you have now committed a crime.
- If an officer is in front of your vehicle and you drive forward while he/she is in front of you, it can be considered clear hostile act and an assault with a deadly weapon, because a vehicle has the potential to cause serious bodily injury or death
- Which can lead to a law enforcement officer using deadly force to prevent you from hitting him or potentially killing anyone else.
If you don’t want that to happen to you, for your safety and the safety of the officer…
DON’T
DO
THAT!!
